Includes: One bottle of Moromi Sugar Kelp Soy Sauce or Ito Shoten tamari, one jar of salty pickled ginger strips, one tube of genuine Japanese wasabi paste, and one pound of frozen Maine dayboat scallops.
Togue's Tips: Our scallops are delightful when eaten raw, and these top-shelf condiments are an easy way to create a simply luxurious sashimi. It's perfect as-is, but if you want to gild the lily, we suggest you add frizzled shallots, chili miso condiment or pineapple miso hot sauce? You can find these and many other delicious add-ons in the Flavor Bombs collection.
As with our seafood, we don't offer any item unless Togue has tried it and loved it, with one exception: since she has celiac she couldn't try the Moromi Sugar Kelp Soy Sauce, but since the New York Times listed it as one of their top gift ideas for 2025, we figured it was worth including.
This package includes one pound of frozen Maine dayboat scallops. While there's something special about eating a scallop just 48 hours out of the water, it's incredibly convenient to have frozen scallops on hand along with these shelf stable ingredients, and the difference between fresh and frozen scallops is almost imperceptible when vacuum sealed and blast frozen. That said, if you'd prefer FRESH scallops, please note this in the notes section of your order, and we'll do our best to include FRESH scallops rather than frozen.
