Eight 8 ounce packs of FROZEN Maine Dayboat Scallops of at least two varieties (up to four varieties)
Easy thawing instructions included with package.
1-2 servings per 1/2 pound depending on preparation method (Togue will easily eat 8 ounces in one sitting, but if you're putting on pasta you can likely get two servings from each 8 ounce pack).
These convenient 8 ounce packages thaw in just minutes and are a fabulous way to ensure you'll ALWAYS have something easy and delicious for diner. These scallops were harvested from Casco Bay, Cobscook Bay, Frenchman Bay and the waters around Vinalhaven and you're guaranteed to get at least two varietals in each box.
These thaw easily in the fridge overnight, or you can fast thaw in 15 minutes by placing in a bowl of cool water just prior to serving.
Shipped with dry ice to ensure top quality.

If you haven't tried Downeast Dayboat scallops, you don't know what scallops are SUPPOSED to taste like. The first thing you'll notice about our scallops is the pure, sweet smell of the sea with no fishy smell. When you pop them in your mouth you'll experience a silky, buttery mouth texture that's hard to describe.
Our scallops' unique texture comes from where they're caught and how they're handled: unlike 95% of US sea scallops, our scallops NEVER touch fresh water. That means you get 100% pure scallop rather than the waterlogged stuff you'll find elsewhere.
Your scallops came right off the boat with only minimal sorting, so the size will vary, but plan on getting roughly 18 to a pound. Each pound is labeled with the name of the fisherman who caught them, the name of his boat, the area they were harvested and the date of harvest.
Scallops are shipped frozen in vacuum sealed bags.
