Togue's Tips:

Always have deliciousness at your fingertips!

If you haven't tried Downeast Dayboat scallops, you don't know what scallops are SUPPOSED to taste like. The first thing you'll notice about our scallops is the pure, sweet smell of the sea with no fishy smell. When you pop them in your mouth you'll experience a silky, buttery mouth texture that's hard to describe.

Our scallops' unique texture comes from where they're caught and how they're handled: unlike 95% of US sea scallops, our scallops NEVER touch fresh water.  That means you get 100% pure scallop rather than the waterlogged stuff you'll find elsewhere.

Your scallops came right off the boat with only minimal sorting, so the size will vary, but plan on getting roughly 18 per package. Each pack is labeled with the name of the fisherman who caught them, the name of his boat, the area they were harvested and the date of harvest.

Scallops are shipped frozen in vacuum sealed bags. Thawing instructions are included.

*Alaska and Hawaii  - additional shipping required

Amazing taste unlike any other!

I purchased these scallops previously and ate them as crudo and seared. I was not a scallop fan prior but for several reasons I gave these a try and I will never eat scallops from anywhere else. If you love scallops these will blow your mind if you don't like them please try these, I am so grateful I did!

You don't know scallops until you had these

As a native Mainer, eating the real deal is key to our families happiness. This is the real thing and better than advertised

Sweet Merroir

Displaying delicate variations dependent on which bay they were harvested in, Downeast Day Boat's scallops have ruined me for other scallops. Don't get me wrong; I'll still eat any scallop served to me but I won't spend my money on any other scallops than Downeast Day Boat's. There's plenty of sources for good scallops but there are few for superior scallops such as these. Sashimi quality and always absolutely fresh!

You haven’t had better

Imagine if the cold waters of the Gulf of Maine and the sweetest, salty spray of a crashing wave could be distilled into a bite. If you love the coast of Maine, the taste will transport you there in an instant. These are special.
